vMIP-II (1-21)  (Synonyms: NT21MP; V1 peptide)

Cat. No.: HY-P4109
Handling Instructions

vMIP-II (1-21) (NT21MP) is an inhibitor of CXCR4. vMIP-II (1-21) interacts broadly with CC and CXC chemokine receptors. vMIP-II (1-21) inhibits CXCR4 by competing with 125I-SDF-1R for binding sites (IC50=190 nM).

In Vitro

vMIP-II (1-21) (0.01-10 μM) binds with CXCR4[1].
vMIP-II (1-21) (25-200 μM) inhibits CXCR4 mediates T- and dual-tropic HIV-1 gp120-mediated cell-cell fusion[1].
vMIP-II (1-21) (100 μM) dose-dependently inhibits the chemotactic activity[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
