iGluR

Ionotropic glutamate receptors

iGluR (ionotropic glutamate receptor) is a ligand-gated ion channel that is activated by the neurotransmitter glutamate. iGluR are integral membrane proteins compose of four large subunits that form a central ion channel pore. Sequence similarity among all known glutamate receptor subunits, including the AMPA, kainate, NMDA, and δ receptors.

AMPA receptors are the main charge carriers during basal transmission, permitting influx of sodium ions to depolarise the postsynaptic membrane. NMDA receptors are blocked by magnesium ions and therefore only permit ion flux following prior depolarisation. This enables them to act as coincidence detectors for synaptic plasticity. Calcium influx through NMDA receptors leads to persistent modifications in the strength of synaptic transmission.

  • HY-B0369AR
    Orphenadrine (citrate) (Standard)
    Antagonist
Orphenadrine (citrate) (Standard) is the analytical standard of Orphenadrine (citrate). This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Orphenadrine citrate is an orally active and non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist (crosses the blood-brain barrier) with a Ki of 6.0 μM. Orphenadrine citrate relieves stiffness, pain and discomfort due to muscle strains, sprains or other injuries. Orphenadrine citrate is also used to relieve tremors associated with parkinson's disease. Orphenadrine citrate has good neuroprotective properties, can be used in studies of neurodegenerative diseases.

  • HY-P10401
    TAT-GluR6-9c
    Antagonist
TAT-GluR6-9c is a GluR6-PSD95 interaction blocker. By regulating the GluR6 mediated signaling pathway, TAT-GluR6-9c inhibits the activation of JNK and phosphorylation of c-Jun, reduces the expression of Fas L and thus reduces the occurrence of apoptosis. TAT-GluR6-9c can be used to study cerebral ischemia and neuroprotective strategies .
    TAT-GluR6-9c
  • HY-19465
    Dasolampanel
    Antagonist
Dasolampanel is a kainate receptor antagonist that helps regulate the excitability of the nervous system by blocking kainate receptors and reducing glutamate-mediated excitatory transmission. Dasolampanel can be used in the study of diseases such as overexcitement and sleep disorders.

  • HY-100998A
    Metaphit methylsulfate
    Antagonist
Metaphit methylsulfate is a specific PCP antagonist and site-directed acylating agent of the [3H]phencyclidine binding site in rat brain homogenates. Metaphit methylsulfate prevents PCP-induced locomotor behavior through presynaptic mechanisms.
    Metaphit methylsulfate
  • HY-168771
    gamma-DGG TFA
    Antagonist
gamma-DGG TFA is the antagonist for excitatory amino acid, that blocks NMDA-(HY-17551), Kainate-(HY-N2309) and Quisqualate-(HY-12597) induced depolarization, and antagonises the excitatory postsynaptic potential (e.p.s.p.) in rat hippocampal slices.

    Neramexane
    Antagonist
Neramexane is an oral N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, as a potential neuroprotectant for various central nervous system disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, and for the potential treatment of drug and alcohol dependence, and pain.
    Neramexane
  • HY-107605
    UBP296
    Antagonist
UBP296 is a potent and selective antagonist of GLUK5-containing kainate receptor in the spinal cord. UBP296 reversibly blocks ATPA-induced depressions of synaptic transmission, and affects AMPA receptor-mediated synaptic transmission directly in rat hippocampal slices.
    UBP296
