Bepridil  (Synonyms: (±)-Bepridil; Org 5730)

Cat. No.: HY-16952
Handling Instructions

Bepridil ((±)-Bepridil) is a calcium channel blocking agent used as antiarrhythmic agent. Bepridil inhibits both calcium and sodium currents, has research potential in certain ischemia-induced ventricular arrhythmias. Bepridil also has strong inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 from entry and replication inside Vero E6 and A549 cells.

At equivalent molar concentrations, both the salt and free forms of a compound exhibit comparable biological activity. Nevertheless, the salt form (Bepridil hydrochloride and Bepridil hydrochloride hydrate) usually boasts enhanced water solubility and stability.

For research use only. We do not sell to patients.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
