Description

Docosahexaenoyl serotonin (DHA-5-HT) is an endogenous n-3 fatty acid-serotonin conjugate. Docosahexaenoyl serotonin is an inhibitor of IL-17. Docosahexaenoyl serotonin has anti-inflammatory activity[1][2].

In Vitro

Docosahexaenoyl serotonin (100-500 nM, 24 h) inhibits IL-23-IL-17 signaling cascade in RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (HY-D1056) with effective anti-inflammatory properties[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
