Description

DSPE-MAL is a phospholipid compound with a maleimide reactive group. DSPE-MAL contains two saturated fatty acids and can self-assemble in water to form a lipid bilayer. DSPE-MAL can be used to prepare liposomes as nanocarriers for active molecules[1].

In Vitro

DSPE-MAL participates in the formation of the lipid bilayer as a lipid component. Moreover, its maleimide reactive group can be linked to active molecules (such as Affibody molecules), enabling the liposome to become a nanocarrier with functions like targeting, which is used in biomedical fields such as drug delivery[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
