Description

Fudosteine is a cysteine derivative and a mucoactive agent. Fudosteine inhibits MUC5AC mucin hypersecretion by reducing MUC5AC gene expression[1][2].

In Vitro

Fudosteine (50, 100, 200 mg/kg) decreases the LPS-induced p-ERK1/2 and p-p38 MAPK levels in the rat lungs. The TNF-α-induced increase in MUC5AC mRNA expression is inhibited by pretreatment with 1 mM Fudosteine[1].

In Vivo:

For the following dissolution methods, please prepare the working solution directly. It is recommended to prepare fresh solutions and use them promptly within a short period of time.
The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.
