Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; gonad; hemolymphoid system; late tubule; and retina. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including hepatitis B; hepatitis C; liver disease (multiple); pulmonary tuberculosis; and severe acute respiratory syndrome.
