Description

Lambertellin is an effective antibiotic that can be used as a bactericide and as a fungicide. Lambertellin exerts its anti-inflammatory effect in LPS (HY-D1056)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells by modulating the activation of the MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways[1].

In Vitro

In lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells, Lambertellin exhibits promising inhibitory activity against nitric oxide (NO) production with an IC50 value of 3.19 µM, and it significantly inhibits the expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2). Lambertellin also decreases the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-1β[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
