Description

UK4b is a highly selective microsomal prostaglandin E2 synthase-1 (mPGES-1) inhibitor. UK4b possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. UK4b can block the growth of abdominal aortic aneurysms in mice[1].

In Vivo

UK4b (10-20 mg/kg; s.c.; twice daily for 22 consecutive days) can block the further growth of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) in an ApoE−/− angiotensin (Ang) II (1000 ng/kg/min; infusion for 28 consecutive days) -induced mouse model of AAA[1].
