5-TAMRA-SE is an amine-reactive fluorescent agent, and its conjugate produces bright, pH-insensitive orange-red fluorescence with good photostability.

In Vitro

Preparing the working solution:[3]
Dissolve 1 mg of 5-TAMRA-SE in 200 µL of DMSO.
5-TAMRA-SE Labeling for Proteins:[3]
Proteins was dissolved in solvents and reacted with 5-TAMRA SE, which was dissolved in DMSO. The reaction was carried out on a shaking table at room temperature without light for 4 h, and the reaction was terminated using 0.1% (v/v) TFA. The reactants were separated by preparative RP-HPLC. The molecular weight of the product was identified by ESI-MS.
