In Vitro

SW203668 (0.1, 0.3, 1, 3, and 10 μM) has 2 benzothiazole enantiomers, while (+)-SW203668 is more potent competitor to bind p37/p30 than (-)-SW203668[1].
SW203668 (1 nM-10 μM; 2 d) inhibits H2122 cells growth with IC50s of 0.029 μM ((+)-SW203668) and 0.007 μM ((-)-SW203668), respectively[1].

In Vivo

SW203668 (25 mg/kg; i.p.; single dose) shows a half-life of 8 h in mouse plasma and (6 mg/kg, 20 mg/kg; i.p.; once daily for 15 d) has low toxicity in CD-1 mice[1].
SW203668 (20 mg/kg; i.p.; once daily for 14 d) preserves sebocytes and significantly increases the number of sebocytes in mice[1].
SW203668 (20 mg/kg; i.p.; once daily for 14 d) shows antitumor efficacy in dosing immunodeficient nonobese diabetic severe combined immunodeficiency (NOD-SCID) mice harboring an H2122 cell-derived tumor xenograft[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
