6-deoxyjacareubin inhibits cytotoxicity induced by sealed chamber hypoxia (1 % O2) and chemically induced hypoxia (CoCl2) in HEK293T cells and other types of cell lines such as HT1080 (human sarcoma cell line), Neuro2a (mouse neuroblastoma cell line), and MO3.13 (human oligodendrocytic cell line)[1].
