Description

Ramosetron (YM060) Hydrochloride is an orally active 5-HT3 receptor antagonist used for studying nausea, vomiting, and inflammatory diseases[1][2][3].

IC50 & Target

5-HT3 Receptor

In Vitro

Ramosetron (1 μM) inhibits 5-HT3 receptor-dependent 5-HT release in guinea pig colonic mucosa[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Ramosetron (0.01-0.1 mg/kg, p.o., twice daily for 5 days) Ameliorates 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (HY-90006)-induced intestinal mucositis in C57BL/6 mice[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (HY-90006)-induced intestinal mucositis model in mice[2]
Dosage: 0.01-0.1 mg/kg
Administration: Oral gavage (p.o.), twice daily for 5 days
Result: Dose-dependently reduced the severity of intestinal mucositis, body weight loss, and diarrhea severity.

In Vivo:

For the following dissolution methods, please prepare the working solution directly. It is recommended to prepare fresh solutions and use them promptly within a short period of time.
The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
