Cat. No.: HY-141412
SDS COA Handling Instructions

D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid (3-Phospho-D-glyceric acid) disodium is an important intermediate in the enzyme-catalyzed glycolysis process. D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium competitively inhibits yeast enolase (enolase). D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium can regulate the activity of phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH) to modulate p53 protein and apoptosis.

Description

D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid (3-Phospho-D-glyceric acid) disodium is an important intermediate in the enzyme-catalyzed glycolysis process. D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium competitively inhibits yeast enolase (enolase). D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium can regulate the activity of phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase (PHGDH) to modulate p53 protein and apoptosis[1][2][3].

In Vitro

D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium (low level) induces phosphorylation at the Ser46 site of p53[1].
D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium (high level) binding PHGDH mutants (R135W and V261M) impair p53 activation[1].
D-(-)-3-Phosphoglyceric acid disodium (high level) binding to the PHGDH-R135W and PHGDH-V261M mutants blocks apoptosis induced by 8 hours of glucose starvation[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
