Salbutamol adipate  (Synonyms: Albuterol adipate; AH-3365 adipate)

Cat. No.: HY-B1037B
Handling Instructions

Salbutamol (Albuterol) adipate is a short-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist with oral activity. Salbutamol adipate promotes tumorigenesis of gastric cancer cells through the β2-AR/ERK/EMT pathway. Salbutamol adipate is used to study bronchospasms caused by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

In Vitro

Salbutamol (16 μM, 24 h) adipate significantly induces EMT, migration and invasion by ERK (extracellular signal-regulated kinase) phosphorylation in gastric cancer cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Salbutamol (5 mg/kg/day, orally, for 2 consecutive weeks) adipate can increase tumor growth in nude mice with gastric cance[1].
Salbutamol (6 mg/kg orally for 4 weeks) adipate has a significant protective effect against STZ (HY-13753)-induced skeletal muscle atrophy in diabetic rats[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
