IC50 & Target[1]

Traditional Cytotoxic Agents

In Vitro

γ-Amanitin (0.3-100 μM, 24 h) concentration-dependently reduces viability of eight human-derived cell lines[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Viability Assay[2]

Cell Line: HepG2, HCT-8, BGC-823, A549, SH-SY5Y, HEK-293, HUVEC and AC16
Concentration: from 0.3 to 100 μM
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Reduced cell viability.
Most sensitive to liver-derived HepG2, stomach-derived BGC-823, and kidney-derived HEK-293 cells (IC50: 9.12, 8.27, and 12.68 μM).
Least potent against lung-derived A549, heart-derived AC16, and intestinal-derived HCT-8 cells (IC50: >100 μM).
In Vivo

γ-amanitin (i.p.) is classified as a neutral amanitin with an LD50 in mice ranging from 0.2 to 0.5 mg/kg[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
