Description

RA839 is a selective Nrf2/ARE pathway agonist and non-covalent small molecule binder of Keap1 (Kd is approximately 6 μM). RA839 prevents inducible nitric oxide synthase expression and nitric oxide release. RA839 exerts anti-rotaviral and anti-inflammatory effects[1][2].

In Vitro

RA839 (5-20 μM) reduces LPS-induced NO release in BMDM in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
RA839 (5-40  μM) shows potent anti-rotaviral efficacy in RV-SA11 infected (12 hpi) MA104 cells, with reducing RV RNA and protein expressions, viroplasm formation[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

RA839 (30 mg/kg, i.p.) modulates Nrf2 target genes in the context of reduced oxidative liver metabolism in mice, inducing hepatic mRNA levels of the prototypic Nrf2 target genes GCLC and NQO1[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
