Description

MeBIO is a potent AhR (aryl hydrocarbon receptor) agonist, with IC50 of 44 μM (GSK-3) and 55 μM (CDK1/cyclin B), respectively[1].

IC50 & Target

In Vitro

MeBIO (25 μM, 90 min) causes redistribution of AhR to the nucleus in wild-type Hepa-1 and ARNT mutant cells[2].
MeBIO (10 μM, 24 h) induces the aggregation of 5L cells in the G1 phase and increases the upregulation of p27 KIP1 expression in 5L cells[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
