Description

Polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 can be used to prepare drug delivery systems, such as electrospun nanofibrous membranes. Polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 is widely used in human and veterinary medicine as an effective wound healing promoter and disinfectant when combined with iodine and other compounds. In addition, Polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 is also used to stabilize nanosuspensions, interact with the surface of drug crystals, and remain bound to the surface after drying[1][2][3].

In Vitro

Polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 (0.02-0.2% w/v, 2 h) increases the membrane permeability of β-naphthol, Antipyrine (HY-B0171) and Rhodamine 123 (HY-D0816) through the transcellular pathway of rat jejunum[4].
Polyvinylpyrrolidone K90 can be used for nanoparticles preparation combining with Poloxamer 407 (HY-D1005), improving the solubility and corneal permeability of Artemisinin (HY-B0094)[5].
