Description

Iron (II) fumarate is an orally effective active dietary supplement. Iron (II) fumarate can alleviate metabolic damage and damage to silkworms caused by cypermethrin (HY-123178). Iron (II) fumarate can be used for research on iron deficiency anemia[1][4].

In Vitro

Iron(II) fumarate (0.32%, 0.64%; 24 h) can restore the metabolic pathway disruption caused by cypermethrin, enhance the tolerance and cell viability of BmN cells to cypermethrin[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Viability Assay[1].

Cell Line: BmN cells
Concentration: 0.32%, 0.64%
Incubation Time: 24 h
Result: Enhanced cell tolerance to cypermethrin and increased cell viability.
In Vivo

Iron(II) fumarate (0.32%, 0.64%; p.o.) can alleviate the damage of cypermethrin to silkworms[1].
Iron(II) fumarate (200-2000 mg/kg; 4 weeks; p.o.) can induce oxidative stress in the liver and colon of rats[2].
Iron(II) fumarate (3% of body weight; 100 mg ferrous fumarate (F) per kilogram feed (g/kg); twice daily; 6 weeks; p.o.) can alter the intestinal morphology and microbiota of Yellow River carp, increasing the diversity and richness of the microbiota[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: p50 and 8y silkworm strains[1].
Dosage: 0.32%, 0.64%
Administration: Oral gavage (p.o.)
Result: Improved the resistance of silkworms to cypermethrin.
Animal Model: Male albino rats (clinical average weight = 65 g)[2].
Dosage: 200-2000 mg/kg
Administration: Oral gavage (p.o.); 4 weeks
Result: Increased iron content and TBA-RS levels in the liver.
Animal Model: Yellow River Carp[3].
Dosage: 3% of body weight; 100 mg ferrous fumarate (F) per kilogram feed (g/kg)
Administration: Oral gavage (p.o.); twice daily; 6 weeks
Result: Promoted the development of intestinal villi and increased the thickness of the intestinal muscle layer.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
